Melrose Arch in Johannesburg is one of the first precincts in South Africa to go green..progressive companies are looking to move into green buildings..plus it makes economic sense even though the initial investment may be higher than conventional..but are we struggling with changing perceptions on greenbuildings because people are just reluctant to change? If you have ever been on a building site there is also the ideology of "we have been doing it this way for 30 years" Are these comments and attitudes still barriers to change?
