Building sustainable communities through green building

As a mechanical engineer at WSP Group Africa, Richard’s current role is that of focusing on the development of green engineering within the business and the progress of sustainable urban design and engineering within the South African property industry. Furthermore, he is a Green Star Accredited Professional (Aus 2006, SA 2009).

Richard’s personal mantra is that he believes in a trans-disciplinary, experiential design as a tool for regenerating our cities, towns and villages. This includes sustainable design, biomimicry, organic farming, eco-literacy, creative expression and community participation.
